Terms of Use

1. Purpose
These Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms") define the terms and conditions for using the website aerislog.com (hereinafter the "Website") and the AerisLog mobile application (hereinafter the "Application"), published by Aeris Studio.
AerisLog is an electronic pilot logbook service, available on iOS and Android.
2. Definitions
- Application: the AerisLog mobile application, available for download on the App Store and Google Play Store.
- Website: the website accessible at aerislog.com.
- Service: all features provided by the Website and the Application.
- User: any individual using the Website or the Application.
- User Content: all data, information, and documents entered or imported by the User into the Application.
- Subscription: a subscription to AerisLog Pro providing access to premium features.
- AerisLog Pro: the premium subscription plan of the Application.
3. Acceptance of Terms
Use of the Website and the Application implies full acceptance of these Terms. If you do not accept these conditions, you must not use the Service.
Aeris Studio reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of any material changes via the Application or by email. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
4. Access to the Service
4.1 Registration
Use of the Application requires the creation of a user account. Registration requires a valid email address and accurate information.
Users may register via:
- An email and password account
- Their Google account (Google Sign-In)
4.2 Minors
The Application is open to users of all ages. Users under 15 years of age must obtain authorization from their parent or legal guardian to create an account and use the Service.
4.3 Free and Premium Access
The Application offers free access with basic features, as well as a premium plan (AerisLog Pro) providing access to all features.
5. Description of the Service
The Application offers the following features:
- Electronic pilot logbook: recording of flights, flight times, and landings
- Qualification management: tracking of licenses, medical certificates, type ratings, and their validity
- Fleet management: registration and tracking of aircraft
- Contact management: address book for crew members and passengers
- Cloud synchronization: backup and synchronization of data across devices
- PDF export: generation of PDF documents for the logbook and qualifications
- Notifications: local alerts for validity expiry
6. User Account
The User is responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials. Any activity carried out from their account is deemed to have been performed by them.
Only one account per individual is permitted. The User agrees not to share their credentials with third parties.
Aeris Studio reserves the right to suspend or delete any account in the event of a violation of these Terms, after notifying the User.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
7.1 AerisLog Pro Plan
AerisLog Pro is available as a subscription:
- Monthly
- Annual
A 7-day free trial is offered to new users.
7.2 Payment
Payments are processed exclusively by the Apple App Store (for iOS) and the Google Play Store (for Android). Aeris Studio does not collect or store any payment information (credit card details, bank information).
7.3 Renewal and Cancellation
The subscription is automatically renewed at the end of each period, unless cancelled by the User. Cancellation is carried out directly from the settings of the relevant store (App Store or Google Play), in accordance with their respective terms.
7.4 Right of Withdrawal
As in-app purchases are processed by the App Store and Google Play Store, the 14-day right of withdrawal is governed by the respective terms of these platforms. By immediately accessing the digital content after purchase, the User acknowledges that the withdrawal period may be waived in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
7.5 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective policies. Aeris Studio is unable to process refunds directly for purchases made through the stores.
7.6 Promotional Codes
Promotional codes may be offered from time to time. They are subject to specific conditions (validity period, associated offer) and are validated via the Application.
7.7 Price Changes
Aeris Studio reserves the right to modify subscription prices. Subscribed Users will be notified of any price changes before they take effect, in accordance with store terms.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Aeris Studio's Rights
The Application, the Website, the AerisLog brand, source code, design, and all associated content are the exclusive property of Aeris Studio. They are protected by intellectual property law.
Any unauthorized reproduction, representation, modification, or exploitation is prohibited.
8.2 User's Rights
The User retains full ownership of their data and content entered in the Application. By using the Service, the User grants Aeris Studio a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to process their data solely for the purpose of providing the Service (storage, synchronization, display).
9. Personal Data
All data entered by the User in the Application remains their property. For information regarding the collection, processing, and protection of your personal data, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which is the governing document for data protection matters.
10. User Responsibilities
The User agrees to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration and when using the Service
- Use the Service in accordance with its intended purpose and applicable laws
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
- Not access Aeris Studio's systems or data without authorization
- Not use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
11. EASA Compliance and Limitation of Liability
11.1 FCL.050 Compliance
The Application is designed to comply with EASA FCL.050 requirements for electronic pilot logbooks. It enables the recording of information required by this regulation.
11.2 Pilot Responsibility
In accordance with EASA regulations, the pilot remains solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and currency of the data entered in their logbook. Aeris Studio provides a tool to facilitate logbook keeping but does not in any way substitute for the pilot's responsibility.
11.3 Limitation of Liability
Aeris Studio shall not be held liable for:
- Technical malfunctions, service interruptions, or data loss, despite reasonable safeguard measures implemented
- The interpretation or rejection of the electronic logbook by any civil aviation authority, regardless of jurisdiction
- Regulatory changes affecting the Application's compliance
- Consequences of inaccurate or incomplete data entered by the User
- Use of the Service for purposes not covered by these Terms
Users are recommended to regularly perform PDF exports of their data for backup purposes.
The Service is provided on a best-efforts basis. Aeris Studio implements reasonable measures to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of the Service, without however guaranteeing error-free operation.
12. Service Availability
Aeris Studio endeavors to maintain continuous availability of the Service. However, the Service may be temporarily interrupted for maintenance, updates, or in cases of force majeure.
The Application features an offline mode (local database) allowing data viewing and entry even without an internet connection. Synchronization occurs automatically when the connection is restored.
Aeris Studio does not guarantee permanent availability of the Service and shall not be held liable for the consequences of a temporary interruption.
13. Termination
13.1 By the User
The User may delete their account at any time from the Application settings. Account deletion results in the permanent and irreversible deletion of all their data (see the "Account Deletion" section of the Privacy Policy).
13.2 By Aeris Studio
Aeris Studio reserves the right to suspend or terminate a User's account in the event of a violation of these Terms, after prior notification sent to the User by email. In the case of a serious breach, suspension may be immediate.
14. Force Majeure
Aeris Studio shall not be held liable for failure to perform its obligations in the event of force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, network failures, third-party service provider outages, cyberattacks, or government decisions.
15. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by French law.
15.1 Mediation
In accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, in the event of a dispute not resolved through direct contact with Aeris Studio (contact@aerislog.com), the User may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator. The contact details of the designated mediator are available on the Website and in the Application.
Users may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
15.2 Jurisdiction
Failing amicable resolution, disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.

17. Effective Date
